Liz Leckie, Ph.D., is the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Student Affairs in the College of Fine Arts at the University of Utah. In her position, she is responsible for undergraduate academic advising, student services, and college-wide student leadership opportunities. Liz has over 15 years of experience in higher education student services. She completed her Ph.D. in Communication at the University of Utah, where she focused her studies on undergraduate student socialization in higher education, social justice, and intercultural communication. She is a former recipient of the University of Utah Diversity Award and Philip and Miriam Perlman Award for Excellence in Student Counseling and Advising. In 2013, Liz – working with student interns created ArtsForce – which is an annual series of events and workshops dedicated to sharing information about the value of their arts education with their peers. ArtsForce won the University of Utah’s 2015 Beacons of Excellence Award, which recognizes excellence in providing transformational experiences to undergraduate students.
